Patio Installers in Dartford: FAQs

The builder's patio on my new-build in Dartford is uneven. Can you fix it?

Yes. Builder-laid patios are often bedded on spots of mortar over a thin base. We'll lift them and either relay the slabs properly or replace them with new paving.

How long does it take to lay a patio?

Most patios take between two and five days, depending on size, access and any steps or walls.

Do I need planning permission for a patio?

A ground-level patio in a back garden doesn't normally need planning permission. Raised decks or platforms over 30cm high, listed buildings and some conservation areas can be different, and we'll flag this if it applies.

How do you stop weeds coming through?

A compacted sub-base, full mortar bed and properly pointed joints leave nowhere for weeds to establish.

Can you remove my old patio?

Yes. We lift and dispose of old slabs and concrete as part of the job.

Do you cover Dartford and the surrounding area?

Yes. We work across DA1 and DA2, including Wilmington, Stone, Greenhithe, Joydens Wood, Darenth. Our base is in Meopham, about 8 miles away, and site visits and quotes are free.
